Do you have a saving or investing mindset? Describe your style in one sentence

I am a good saver but do not have an investing mindset at all!

Do you invest actively? Why or why not? If so, what is your approach in a nutshell? What level of risk are you comfortable with?

I don’t actively invest. I think this is because the world of investing feels like it’s for those that are “INTO investing” and requires a level of interest and commitment in investing. The idea of entering this world feels too daunting and I wouldn’t know where to begin. In addition, I think I just don’t feel obsessed enough with money to care about investing and my risk appetite is low.

What are you most likely to splurge on?

Honestly, a lot. But I would like to think that I am a good balance of practical when it comes to saving where I can (e.g. takeaway) and splurging where I feel it’s worth it (e.g. holidays, nice clothes, interior items).

Any resources that have helped you with your money - i.e., books, apps, websites, podcasts?

I’m not at all engaged with money resources (besides the sporadic money related TikTok that appears on my feed).

Any investments outside of Blossom?

My partner has been designated responsibility of our investments, so he invests in ETFs on our behalf.

What’s the best piece of financial advice you’ve been given? Or one piece of financial advice you’d give your younger self?

This is more life advice rather than financial advice but don’t say no to important life experiences in order to save pennies whilst young. My rationale is the amount you are making whilst younger presumably won’t compare with what you’re making later on, so use your money to experience as much as you can whilst young ! E.g. moving out of home vs saving for a house.
